How to book your wedding celebrant

Robert Frylink and Cally AldridgeIf you would like to book me as your wedding celebrant the first thing you will need to do it get in touch with me. You can call me on +27 83 4617 123 or submit the Availability Enquiry form which you will find on the right.

It is a good idea to book your marriage officer well in advance to make sure you have someone there who can marry you. Without the marriage officer, there is no wedding!

Once you have made contact with me I will send you an email confirming if I am available for your date. The email will contain a link to an online booking form for you to submit. The information on the form is what I need to complete the marriage register which I submit to the Department of Home Affairs after your wedding.

Your date is only booked once I have received the booking form. Because of the high demand for bookings I am unable to hold dates, so the date goes to the first couple whose form I receive.

There are other documents which you will need to submit (such as copies of your Identity Documents). All that information will be on the email I send you.l

I definitely prefer to meet the couples I marry before the wedding. Some couples like to meet me before booking me, and you are more than welcome to do that. I believe you need to feel comfortable with the person who is marrying you.

It is never to soon to arrange a meeting with me. So please contact me so we can get together and talk about your wedding ceremony – and so that I can get to know a bit more about you. If you are not local, we can always chat on Skype. I conduct a lot of international weddings and most of our communication is conducted via Skype and email before the couple arrive in South Africa.

I am here to help you. People don’t get married often – but I have done this with couples hundreds of times. So don’t feel you have to guess your way through this. Please ask me if you have any questions.

I look forward to hearing from you and perhaps having the privilege of sharing your special day with you.
